Since summer is unfortunately coming to a close, I thought it would be a great idea to team up with my favorite LA photographer, Gebel Tarik Baucham, and do a Plus Size Swimwear special for you all. I know it’s tough and extremely frustrating for my fellow curvy chicks to find swimwear that fits our bodies properly, so don’t fear…The Curve Slayer is here! I am going to share a few of my favorite plus swim pieces from the summer and shed a little light on the importance of experimenting to find what works for YOU and your body. And you don’t always have to opt for the most expensive stuff! Although I am a firm believer in “quality over quantity”, I also believe in knowing a great deal when I see one! 😉 I love to bargain shop and believe it or not, this entire look was below $30!!! With something as affordable as $30, I created the look I like to call:
“TASTE THE RAINBOW”
Photography by Tarik (Gebel Tarik Baucham)
“Taste The Rainbow” was birthed by one of my favorite one-piece swimsuits from DD’s Discounts for only $6.99! This black/white one-piece is 84% polyester 16% spandex and I am wearing is a size Large (12-14). According to the tag on the back, it is manufactured by a company called “Catalina” so hopefully that makes it easier for you guys to track it down lol. I paired this look with a simple pair of strapped black sandals (also $6.99 from DD’s discounts) and a vibrant multicolored kimono (wearing size Large) that I found for only $14.99! I couldn’t resist! :-0 This kimono was manufactured by a company named “Friday” (made in Los Angeles) as stated on the tag, but I purchased it at a store called Xpressions in Inglewood, CA. Last but certainly not least, I must give special thanks to my awesome friend and Photographer, Gebel Baucham! I originally was hesitant about pairing these two pieces together, but after eyeballing it for 2 seconds, he suggested pairing the two together! Needless to say…he helped develop a showstopper! Overall, I felt that this combination was the perfect color combo for a bright summer look. On top of that, it worked well with my curves and made me feel sexy and confident! It didn’t cost me a fortune, and most importantly, it allowed me to slay my curves FLAWLESSLY! I hope you enjoyed your taste of the rainbow :-* Stay tuned tomorrow for your next dose of TheCurveSlayer’s Plus Size Swimwear special! 😉
I haven’t had any look with the search for this look at all. Not to mention I’m from a small town in Georgia 😞😞

I found a more expensive swimsuit that looks the same by swim solutions. It’s online now at Macy’s. I bought mine in store.
